DAVE Massa

Dave joined our Fairview family in October of 2022. He and his wife Christi have been married for 14 years, and God has granted them five children (Haddon, Alyvia, Jubilee, Jaron, and Benjiah). He has degrees in history and counseling from Bob Jones University, and an MDiv from Shepherds Theological Seminary. He is passionate about teaching the whole counsel of God, intergenerational discipleship, corporate worship, and connecting the gospel of grace of Jesus Christ to all of life. Assistant Pastor

Don Kakavecos

Pastor Don was born in Indianapolis, adopted by His maternal uncle and aunt at 6 months, and raised in Brown County, Indiana. He has 7 siblings in his birth family and 4 in his adoptive family.  He attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN, and was graduated with a degree in Bible in 1979.  He then attended Grace Theological Seminary and was graduated with a Diploma in Theology in 1983 and an MDiv in 1990.

 Pastor Don married his wife, Donna (Sparks) Kakavecos, in 1981 and they have been in fulltime-ministry together since 1983.  They have served churches in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan and a faith-based not-for-profit, the Midwest Food Bank Indiana Division, in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Pastor Don and Donna moved back to Decatur in 2017.  In 2018 he accepted the call of FBC to be their part-time Pastor of Admin and Seniors.  He began serving as FBC’s Interim Pastor in November 2021.

Donna was saved at Fairview at 8 years old and her parents have been members of FBC for over 50 years. She attended Tennessee Temple University and was graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1981. Throughout her work-life, she has taught school, administrated medical offices, served as an administrative assistant, and worked as a bookkeeper.  Pastor Don and Donna have 2 adopted children, Carrie and Wesley.  Wesley went home to be with the Lord in 2005 at age 16.  Carrie and their grandson, Michael James, live in Michigan.

Pastor Don sees his current position as an opportunity to shepherd God’s flock. He requests your prayers for himself, his family, and FBC.

Pastor Ben, his wife Beth, and their four children (Alethea, Jaxon, Zealand, and Layla) will be joining our Fairview family this January 2025!
